Bunche Director Candidate, Antwi Akom

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1 PM in 5391 Public Affairs, Antwi Akom, an Associate Professor of Africana Studies at San Francisco State University, will give a talk, “Mapping the Black Metropolis: Using the Power of Local Knowledge to Improve Urban Planning and Promote Environmental Health Justice with our Nation’s Most Vulnerable Populations.” On Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2 PM in 153 Haines Hall, Antwi Akom will speak about his vision for the Bunche Center. The talk is called, “Nothin’ bout us without us: Visualizing Black organizing, Black activism, Black health promotion, and access to opportunities in LA and across the African Diaspora.” The events are free and open to the public.
