Crenshaw’s NYT Op-Ed on President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper

July 30, 2014 — Bunche Center-affiliated scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw explains in an op-ed piece in today’s New York Times what’s wrong with President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative.  The $300 million program, she argues, focuses on boys and young men of color to the exclusion of their girl and young women counterparts — despite the fact that the latter face similar if not more daunting challenges in contemporary society.  To read the op-ed, please click HERE.
